Current activities of multi-faceted New York based musician Joshua Feltman include performing, composing, conducting and teaching.
He plays piano and viola in the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, an orchestra for which he has also served as assistant conductor and programming advisor. His activities as a composer include newly commissioned works (mainly for orchestra), film music, chamber music and arranging (with a particular interested in jazz and popular styles). He conducts the Contemporary Music Ensemble (CME) at the Graduate Center and heads the New York chapter of Classical Revolution (an organization presenting chamber music jam sessions in cafes across the world). He holds teaching positions at Brooklyn College and Brooklyn Conservatory and is also an accomplished church musician (Episcopal).
